I have been teaching math at the college level for over 9 years. Having taught the full breadth of courses over that time, I have seen it all (from all levels of algebra to statistics, all levels of calculus, differential equations and beyond) and helped hundreds of students towards their academic goals. I have even taught with some non-traditional methods of instruction. My goal is always the highest quality instruction to prepare my students for a competitive, diverse and dynamic world. I myself am always looking to build on my knowledge of best teaching practices, and in math theory and history.
Currently I teach math at San Diego Miramar College and have also worked for Cuyamaca and Southwestern Colleges. I graduated from UCSD, and a few years later SDSU, obtaining a bachelor's degree and then master's degree both in pure mathematics.
Besides teaching, I am very recently married and now am the step-father of two teenage daughters! I enjoy surfing, working out, and am a committed member of my small church.
