I have obtained my bachelors degree in early childhood education and a masters in curriculum instruction with a Georgia teacher’s certification. I have gained much experience throughout my first 6 years as an educator, working within various Fulton County, Cobb County, and Clayton County elementary schools. As a result I have gained skill, knowledge, independence, teaching strategies’, professionalism and how to not only organize within my profession but how to focus on the students’ needs at hand. I wish to continue pursuing my ultimate goal of fulfilling my passion for promoting learning, growth and development towards children. I intend on providing children with a successful learning environment helping them to build up their hopes, dreams, desires and aspirations. Critically letting children know that with education they can do anything they put their mind to.

My skills are effective in changing the lives of students. I use methods of cognitive learning; implementing tactile, audio, and visual techniques to encourage student learning and keep students interest so that there are less interruptions. While using these methods of instruction I also provide students with a comfortable, stable, structured learning environment helping them function effectively improving their educational skills. With using these methods I also let students know my expectations. Overall, my goal is for student Instruction to impact every student not only showing them the value of education but the desire to show the world what they are capable of.

I'm certified in p-5 elementary therefore, I'm certified in various subjects. For example, I teach elementary math yet, I can teach effectively higher math standards if desired. I use techniques and methods for easy comprehension and understanding. This helps students gain concepts fast and efficiently.

Reading, grammar, and writing fall hand in hand. I believe for an effective reading/ grammar program designated for beginning readers many components must be addressed and implemented. For example, the program must include alphabetic code, fluency, comprehension and motivation. Within alphabetic code there must be phonics, decoding, letter knowledge and phonemic awareness. Whereas with fluency decoding must be applied to enforce independent reading so that the student can recognize and master the vocabulary words with in the passage.

Moreover, as for comprehension within the program students must understand the passage and comprehend the vocabulary words they are reading. Helping student to comprehend comes from their own background knowledge, through interactive reading and through continuously asking them questions about the passage. Last a very important component that needs to be implemented within a beginners reading program is motivation. Motivation is the key to getting students to become confident throughout their reading. It generates enjoyment and enthusiasm. Motivation not only helps students to find an appreciation for reading it helps to make reading fun.
