What is your teaching philosophy?

Learning should be meaningful and enjoyable. When students are engaged in the content, they will retain it.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In the first session, I ask my student(s) what their goals and interests are, and I provide an introduction of what we will be learning to help inform them and assess their level.

I provide tips and sources they can use to study and help them organize their learning as needed.

Present the subject matter in various ways to see which way they are best able to learn.

I break the reading down into manageable bites, using context to help students be better able to comprehend.
