I was a straight A student in high school, graduate Cum Laude from Stony Brook University, and went on to attend Cornell University for my MBA. Currently I'm a start-up consultant. I've always enjoyed teaching, however, that's why I like tutoring. I've a teaching assistant many times over, both in undergrad and grad school. I've also been a private tutor since high school. My goal is help you achieve, if not exceed your own. I believe in using a student's background and interests to help them understand concepts they may not grasp upon first review. I'm always available as a resource online when there in person. I really do enjoy tutoring, and I can't wait to be yours.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe in finding out more about how my student learns before teaching him/her. By tailoring every lesson to their particular needs, I can effectively build on their strengths and eradicate their weaknesses.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session with a student, I'd find out what their goals and concerns are. We can work out a good timeline to achieve those goals. Additionally, I would find out more about them and their interests. This is useful when explaining concepts, and I can make comparisons with something they understand well already.
