I received my Ph.D. degree in English Language and Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University. After that I became an English teacher at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. I plan to purse a Master degree in Education at OU next year.
I have a rich experience in teaching English as second language, I began to practice my teaching as early as my graduate years. My students mainly are college students with various majors such as Physical Education, Science and so on, which enables me to understand better different students’ needs as well as as well as their obstacles in study.
I also teach Chinese at Norman, my learning and teaching experience in English helps me comparing the differences between the two languages, it also facilitates my understanding and teaching of both languages.
I’m patient with students because I know language learning is not one-time issue, I believe interest is the best key for mastering a language. For me, the motivation comes from my enthusiasm about culture. I would love to use my own experience to help students explore their own interest and their own way of learning.
