I have just completed my freshman year at Yale University, and I look forward to pursuing a major in Public Health in the fall. Throughout my time in high school and college, I have experience with being a tutor and tutee in a variety of courses. Whether I was helping my fellow classmates and friends in math class or seeking edits on a paper from a professor, I know what it is like to give and receive help. I challenge my students to not only find the answer but understand the process behind it (while still empathizing with the challenges that he, she, or they may face). Furthermore, I know that not everyone learns in the same way; changing the way I explain a concept could be the difference between general knowledge and mastery.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I am not here to just tell my students how to get an answer. Instead, I want to empower my students to use various skills and/or tools to get the right answer and understand the process behind it.
