I am a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. Throughout my time in high school and college, I experienced being a tutor and tutee in a variety of courses. Whether I was helping my fellow classmates and friends in math class or seeking edits on my paper from a professor, I know what it is like to give and receive help. I challenge my students to not only find the answer but understand the process behind it (while still empathizing with the challenges that he/she/they may face). Furthermore, I know that not everyone learns in the same way, so I will also be mindful of the different strategies that I can implement to support the unique needs of each tutee. Reaching out for help can be daunting, but hopefully we can work together to make tutoring a fun and enjoyable time!

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I am not here to just tell my students how to get an answer. Instead, I want to empower my students to use various skills and/or tools to get the right answer and understand the process behind it.
