I attended Marshall University, Huntington, WV and received a BS in Elementary Education and Special Ed. Throughout my teaching career I took numerous classes to further develop as a teacher. As a tutor I've worked with students at schools and privately from grades 2nd thru high school. I especially like working with students in writing, comprehension skills, study/organizational skills and self-advocacy. I love seeing the light bulb go on when someone discovers they REALLY can do it! My approach and belief is that there is always a solution, we just need to find the one that is best for you which leads to you learning more about how you learn, strategies that work for YOU, and then implement them into your life. I also believe that creating a structure that supports your learning style is very important. This can be how you use a planner, meet deadlines, etc. To me, these are life skills that you'll carry forward into all areas of your life.
