I am an 8th grade homeroom teacher in the Auburn area. I teach 5-8 Science and Algebra 1. I graduated in 1991 from Southern Utah University with a major in Elementary Education and minors in Biology and Math. I first realized my love of teaching when I taught swimming in college, I change my degree from nursing to education. I began my teaching career at a boys' home in Southern California (grades 6-9). After teaching there for 1 year, I began teaching in a one room school (grades 1-8) which I continued until the Fall of 2008 where I began my current position.
Teaching is my first love. I enjoy watching students' going from questioning looks to the eureka moment alighting their eyes. Since I have taught all areas from 1-9, I feel comfortable tutoring most core subjects. However, my first loves are Math and Science.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy walks, hikes, camping, and traveling.
