I am a great tutor because I have been tutoring students for over 15 years. I have tutored every math subject from Algebra to Calculus. I currently work as a math teacher for a local high school. I like to relate the content I'm teaching to things that are relevant to my students. It helps me connect to students and it helps the students to make connections.
When I'm not teaching or thinking about math, I enjoy travel, shopping, sightseeing, and dining.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is combining the content of the course with students' interests. I often motivate my students by making mathematics relevant to my students' likes and interests.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I usually talk with my student about their likes and interests. Next, I ask the student about the content of the subject and what they hope to accomplish from the tutoring.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I give them study tips that they can use not only in their math class, but also in their other classes. I use the students' likes and interests to help motivate and deepen students' understanding of math.
