Born and raised in Southern California, I graduated from Etiwanda High School in 2014 and have since moved to Long Beach, where I currently attend CSULB. As a second year Liberal Studies major, I am well on my way to becoming a professional educator. Keeping to a heavy course load, it is my hope to graduate in the fall of 2017 with both my BA degree and my teaching credential. While graduating is certainly my most pressing goal, my ultimate aim is to utilize my knowledge of teaching for the sake of missions work (be that at home or abroad). In the interim, I am excited to use my passion for learning to spur others on towards academic success, via my work as a private tutor.
I truly believe that every student has the ability to achieve scholastic success, so long as they are willing. Thus, as a tutor, it is my desire to partner with motivated students in their academic pursuits. In so doing, my hope is to encourage/challenge students to take ownership of their studies. My role as a tutor is not to rob students of their intellectual independence, but rather, to provide them with the tools necessary to developing that very independence.
