I believe that education is an individualized process that should spark passion and incite curiosity rather than foment stress. I am a biomedical engineering graduate who works as a writer and social media director for a fashion publication. My passion for many subjects throughout my formal education helped propel me through difficult coursework, and it is this same passion which I wish to instill in my clients.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that education should be an individualized process. Students learn at all different paces and levels of comprehension. Therefore, I think that the most effective way to foster learning occurs through the individual with one-on-one teaching. Education should be empowering, and it becomes such by focusing on the individual.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will begin by asking the student his/her expectations for these sessions and what goals he/she hopes to achieve throughout our time together. Then, I will ask the student what specifically he/she wants to improve. Next, I want to get a sense of the student's school curriculum. From that point, we can target the student's needs and frame it within the context of the student's curriculum in order to help the student achieve his/her best in school or on a test.
