I am a graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor's of the Arts in Physical Education. I am currently going back to school to earn a Master's as a Physician Assistant. Tutoring is a passion of mine because I think it is important that all students reach their potential. Tutoring often will help students think about certain subjects in other ways, and presents new ideas and thought processes. It is important that students learn to be confident in their understanding, so that they are not dependent on others for their own learning. I am fascinated by the human body and all the processes of communication it uses to maintain itself. Typically I tutor in math and science, and offer different ways of thinking about the subjects. Usually I use the Socratic method, so I ask a lot of questions, and ask students to explain to me what is going on in the problem or subject area in question. If needed I will provide demonstrations or incorporate different methods depending on what is needed.
Outside of education, my personal interests are anything that will get me outside, sports, but my favorite thing in the world is a good laugh with good friends.
