I am a recent Brown University graduate living in Providence. My interests span both the sciences and the humanities—I started college with a plan to trade in textbooks and tests for novels and essays, and finished with a degree in Biology. Needless to say my friends and family were a bit confused at first... During this transition, I developed passions for subjects I never thought would be “my thing.” This experience is what inspires me to tutor. I’ve spent a lot of time close to square one, and I believe it’s an exciting place to be!

I’m certified to prepare students for all sections of the SAT, and for the Math and Literature SATII subject tests. I took these tests just a few years ago, and I know how tricky they can be. I teach my students the best strategies for tackling problems and help them master the concepts they need to know for the test.

I’m also certified to tutor Biology. I have significant experience teaching biological concepts, in both one-on-one tutoring sessions and in college classroom environments. I always keep the big picture in mind when I teach Biology. I want to make those seemingly dry details more fascinating and easier to grasp.
