I completed undergraduate studies at Yale University with a BA in Political Science while also studying pre-med. After college I went on to complete a Masters degree in the Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I am currently an MD Candidate at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
My professional experience is also varied, ranging from laboratory and global health epidemiology research, to working for a non-profit organization where I taught students of all ages.
I come from an interdisciplinary educational and professional background and as a result, I enjoy learning and teaching a variety of subject areas. I tutor Algebra, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, ACT Science/Reading/Math/English, and Spanish. I like these subject areas because I have always found them fun and particularly applicable to everyday life.
My teaching philosophy is that learning can be enjoyable and with the right preparation, everything is do-able! I know firsthand how satisfying it is to finally understand a concept that once felt difficultas a tutor, my goal is to encourage and equip students to apply themselves so that they, too, can experience that feeling of satisfaction.
Outside of work and studies, I like to stay active by running and biking, and I love to travel. I lived abroad for a few years after college before returning back to the US for medical school; I'm always eager to experience new places! I also enjoy baking and reading when I can.
I look forward to working with you!
