I graduated from Carroll College in Helena, Montana with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. While a student at Carroll I worked as a Lab Aide for Biology, Chemistry and Genetics courses. In this position I guided students through laboratory procedures and experiments, as well as offered assistance with course material and exam preparation. Throughout my undergraduate education I grew to appreciate and enjoy learning about all biological subjects, however, I am particularly fond of biochemistry and developmental biology.
I believe students from all academic backgrounds can successfully navigate through their biology courses! Oftentimes biology concepts appear intimidating and unnecessarily complex. My goal as a tutor is to simplify these concepts - breaking them down into straightforward parts that can then be reassembled into a logical bigger picture. Making this a consistent part of our study routine will allow these concepts to be easily accessible both during exams and in everyday life. Through this I truly believe every student can find biology fun and fascinating!
I am new to the Midwest and enjoying everything it has to offer! Whether it's hiking, camping, practicing yoga, playing sports, or walking my dog, I love being active and outdoors. As a food lover and amateur baker, Kansas City has provided me with an endless supply of fantastic dining experiences!
