I grew up in sunny Florida where I completed my bachelor's degree in Spanish language at Florida State University. During my time at FSU, I also completed a minor in biology. While my next scholastic endeavor is Physical Therapy school, Spanish language and literature will remain one of my great interests and joys. When I wasn't studying or in class, I could be found at The Florida State Flying High Circus, practicing and performing acts ranging from bicycle built for five to double trapeze. My love for the circus arts brought me to St. Louis, where I continue to practice and perform double trapeze as well as other circus skills.
While most of my tutoring experience has been with high school and college aged students, I feel comfortable and confident teaching students of any age. I believe that my successes as a tutor can be attributed to connecting subject material with student interests and clearly explaining concepts that are often difficult to grasp. I feel that an in-depth understanding is much more beneficial to a student than simply memorizing facts and vocabulary. Equipped with this tutoring philosophy and a passion for Spanish language and literature, I believe I can not only aide in foreign language study, but make it fun, too!
