I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Yeshiva University in 2006 and my Masters Degree in English Literature from Bar Ilan University in 2014. I enjoy helping students uncover their potential and helping them discover the magic of learning. I have tutored students of all ages for the past two years in mostly English related subjects. English is my favorite subject to tutor because I believe that communication is one of our most powerful tools as human beings. Helping students improve their communication skills whether it be reading, writing, or speaking, is extremely gratifying. I like to tutor in a way that helps my students relate to what they are learning. I believe that once students recognize how the subjects they are studying are relevant to their lives, they are more eager to learn. I try to bring an aspect of fun to our sessions as well by keeping the mood lite while still accomplishing serious goals. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy acting, watching movies and television, especially Game of Thrones, cooking and baking.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe students learn best when they can see how the subject material is actually relevant to their lives. Drawing this connection is the key to my teaching philosophy.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session, we will outline the goals of our tutoring sessions and discuss any challenges you have been confronted with in your learning process.
