I'm very excited to have the chance to be your tutor. I've worked as a teacher and tutor for over ten years, mostly overseas teaching English as a Second Language in Europe, Latin America and Asia. I have worked with students of nearly every age and level, and have a specialty in writing. As your teacher I will find out what your goals are and put together a unique course based on them. If you prefer to go through a text book or study manual, we can do that too, and I can also supplement that study with focused lessons on points that cause you some difficulty.
I care about all my students, both as human beings and as learners that I fervently wish to see improve. My lessons are typically hard-working, and are a mix of communication alongside focused study of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation or anything else that causes you trouble. We can meet at your home or online, whichever you prefer or is most convenient. I truly enjoy my classes and my students, and if you are comfortable with it, I have students over to my home to meet my family (off the clock) and just have fun. I also do field trips if you would like.
In my free time, I like to get some exercise outside playing basketball, play music on my guitar and spend time with my family. I have a wonderful wife and two children, a boy and a girl. I also enjoy travel, having seen very much of the world outside the U.S., and have visited some of the spots not far from our Philadelphia area like Cape May and Lancaster County. I also love to serve with my church and do activities with our friends there as well.
