My pathway to tutoring is a process that has been building, stone by stone, for most of my life. Whether it was keeping the younger children entertained in daycare, leaving hand-written stories at the kitchen table when I went home from a night of babysitting, or being a group leader at summer camp, I have always enjoyed helping others learn.
I received my Bachelor's of English with an emphasis in creative writing from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2011. I have continued to pursue advanced education, and I am currently working toward my teaching license.
As a tutor, I want each of my students to come away from our sessions feeling less frustrated and more hopeful about school. Everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways. I believe that with patience, positive thinking, and practice, I can help each student to discover the way that they learn best and put it into action.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Learning shouldn't be something scary or uncomfortable. No one should have to be afraid to ask questions, especially since everyone learns in a different way. My goal is to support, encourage, and teach in a way that promotes individuality and confidence.
