As a mechanical engineer, I have invested many hours in the learning, application and teaching of math and science. I design the products of tomorrow by day and enjoy spreading the building blocks of my own education by night.
I am passionate about learning and empowering students to achieve their potential. In May of 2014, I graduated and entered the workforce and since then I have sorely missed the atmosphere of learning and self-improvement I felt around campus.
Strong academic performance and a willingness to share a subject matter are characteristics many have known me by, which has led to many informal help and tutoring sessions with peers and young students. I would love to prepare and empower students in the community!
In my free time I enjoy just about anything that involves moving or learning! Rock climbing, reading, cycling and travel are a few of my favorites. I'd love to chat and hear about your favorite books or destinations!

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe each of my students has the potential to learn any concept they truly want to, provided it is presented in the best way for the individual student! By taking note of what leads up to the "a-Ha!" moments, I tailor my methods to the learning strengths of each student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I believe the most important aspects of a first session are to build an open, trusting relationship with the student and to identify areas of improvement.
