I am currently living and working in the Los Angeles area. I have my Masters in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis as well as a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Human Development & Family Studies and Criminal Justice. I spent the last two years as a Teach For America Corps member in St. Louis where I was both inspired and motivated by my second and third graders.
I believe that every child has the ability to learn and be successful in the classroom. I am passionate about differentiating learning to fit my students' needs as well as their learning styles. Every child learns and understands differently and I see the importance of working towards a student's strengths.
I currently work full-time as the Chief Operating Officer of Swipe Out Hunger, a non-profit organization focused on ending hunger by allowing college students to donate their leftover meal points to feed their food insecure community. Although I currently spend my days working as a philanthropist, I have a passion for working with children and would love to help your child feel confident and successful both inside and outside the classroom.
