Hello & Hola! I am a recent Clinical Psychology Doctorate graduate and have worked with studies of various ages and backgrounds. I have tutored and helped students develop study and organization skills for over 8 years. I have experience working with children with ADD/ADHD & on the Autism Spectrum. I had the opportunity to work with teenagers and young adults who were cancer survivors to catch up with their school work and advocate for their needs with teachers. I am also fully bilingual in Spanish and have experience helping students develop their language skills.
My former tutoring experiences have installed in me characteristics towards being a good mentor such as: patience, active listening, creativity, flexibility, and welcoming/nonjudgemental environment when working with students. I aim to make my sessions enjoyable, rewarding, and useful. I like to work with the family as a whole and keep parents in the loop as to the techniques and progress seen within each session. My ultimate goal is to help my students develop their own set of "tools" to help them within the subject area that is challenging so that they can continue to develop and grow within those areas.
