I became a tutor because I love helping others succeed. That lightbulb moment when a student finally "gets" it is the best. My academic background includes a BA in history, an MBA, and the CFA exams (levels I and II). I tutor mostly math subjects. The numbers all have a story to tell and I love piecing together the different parts of the puzzle to find out what that story is.
I'm a big fan of analogies and examples, so I use them often when explaining concepts and ideas. I also use illustrations often while tutoring for those who are more visual learners.
When I have free time, I love experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new (to me) recipes. Chicken, pasta, garlic, and olive oils are my staples and can always be found in my kitchen.
