I have tutored, coached, and observed in classrooms and love to help students succeed. In my experience, no two students are alike, and I love helping students find success in different ways. Beyond helping students reach their goals in the classroom, it's great to see when students get excited about a subject beyond an upcoming test or project. I genuinely love reading, writing, and talking about history and English, and easily pass along this enthusiasm to students.

Q & A
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I like to start with students by going over their current coursework, where they are struggling, and most importantly what they enjoy most about school or a given class. From there, it is critical to get organized and create a sustainable process for the student to see success.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
When I was in school, I loved being able to create repeatable processes to see the best results. Now, I make it my goal to instill processes for students to constantly hit their goals and build on their own success.
