How can I help you? I applaud you on taking the initiative to get the help you need. I have a passion for education and come to Varsity Tutors from having obtained my bachelor’s in English and Spanish from Eastern Michigan University. My master’s degree is in Educational Leadership. I pursued this degree to have the opportunity to learn how students learn best and to broaden my qualifications, but my true passion is in working with students.

Experiencing genuine care, understanding and diligence from a skilled tutor is at the core of learning. You deserve a tutor who will attend to your unique experiences and personal goals. I am dedicated to creating an individualized, integrative instructional approach to fit your current needs and to also help you find success in the future.

I have studied abroad in Argentina and started a project-based learning program in Brasilia, Brazil. I believe that every student deserves a curriculum that is individualized to fit both their interests and needs and that true learning happens through real-world examples and application. I pride myself in being able to adapt to my students’ needs and in finding new ways to help them. I have presented my work at university symposiums and am an active member on campus. I have vast experience in writing proposals, grants and personal statements and would be thrilled to help you with your application process. I am ready to put my 7 years of teaching experience to work for you. I look forward to working with you!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that engagement leads to learning. I use discussion and activities, and I support my students toward higher-level thinking. I believe that all students can learn, and I have high expectations for each of my students. I include interesting activities to grab the attention of my students, and I inspire them to learn. My students explore meaning, engage in critical thinking ,and come to their own conclusions. My goal is for each of my students to fall in love with learning and to be excited about education and their future. I am dedicated to the success of each of my students as the skills they gain through their education will open up new opportunities in their lives.
