I have chosen one of the most challenging yet most rewarding careers any individual could choose: that of being an educator. Educators, by definition, must often go beyond the call of duty in order to best assist their students, juggling a diverse number of tasks in order to positively effect the education of those they teach. Teaching is the foundation of all careers, and as a result it is satisfying to know that I as a tutor can help build a strong foundation for tomorrow???s leaders and world changers.
My career in education began 15 years ago with a Diploma/Associates Degree in teaching, a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, and a Masters Degree in Education. I have had a successful teaching career, and have held positions running the gamut from classroom teacher to school inspector, substitute teacher to tutor. Throughout these years I have experienced tremendous personal and professional growth, learning through teaching and developing my instructional abilities, creativity and communication skills. I have had the opportunity to work with children of varying ages and abilities through my involvement in extracurricular programs such as sports, camps, and charities.
As I cater to the needs of each learner, I understand that every student is different, that every student has unique abilities, and that every student possesses pockets of strengths in their learning potential. I strongly believe in capitalizing on each student's strengths in order to help them overcome their obstacles. In catering to students, I strive to make learning fun and safe. As a lover of nature, adventure and traveling I am keen on diversifying learning in order to engage my learners with meaningful activities that will effectively help them meet their learning goals.
Great things begin with an open mind and a smiling face.
Together we can.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
A learner's uniqueness drives teacher preparation as we seek to unearth the talents vested in our learners.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Students can become independent learners when they are provided with the foundations of learning at their age and cognitive levels. The inclusion of technology in learning can also help students develop independence, and students can pace or challenge themselves at a level they feel comfortable.
