I'm an honest and hardworking professional who loves working with students to bring out their full potential. I'm committed to helping students achieve success in math, reading, and life.
I received my Special Education degree at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in 2012. I have my teaching license in Wisconsin and Minnesota. I am currently a Special Education teacher and I have been tutoring for the last three years. I have tutored a student with severe ADHD, learning disabilities, and dyslexia. We worked on reading/decoding and second grade math skills. I have also tutored siblings that were at or above grade level in each subject. We worked on all school subjects at a first and third grade level. I tutor math, english, phonics, public speaking, and study skills. I can also offer homework support and special education support. My absolute favorite subject to tutor is math. I enjoy the concrete dependability that math offers.
I believe that every student can learn. Some students may require hearing things multiple times or seeing things taught in different ways but they can learn! My goal as an educator and tutor is to help every student be a successful learner no matter how long or how many attempts it takes. I like to relate the lesson/skill being taught to the student's life because I believe it is easier to learn when it relates to you. My own hobbies are reading, playing softball/catch, watching baseball, enjoying the outdoors, and playing at the park with my dog.
