I am a senior at Columbia University studying Sustainable Development and Mathematics. I am a native Spanish-speaker with mentoring experience in mathematics, test prep, writing (English and Spanish), and Spanish-speaking. In addition, at Columbia and across the US I have done political education trainings on climate justice and student movements. I enjoy connecting with students who are willing to learn and are looking for an extra boost to achieve academic success!
In addition to having considerable knowledge in many subjects, I am passionate and patient when it comes to tutoring students who need help understanding key concepts. As a mentor in high school, I was persistent in teaching other students who had difficulties learning mathematical theorems and formulas. Since I understand that people often learn and process information in various ways, I try my best to explain ideas using different words or images that may be more easily understood. Moreover, as a native Spanish speaker, I can easily provide assistance to students who need bilingual tutoring or who are looking to develop their language skills.
