I’m a native of Colombia. I came to this beautiful country in 1972 and established my residence in the Northeast. I attended Southern New Hampshire University and graduated with a B.S. in Marketing.
I have been always fascinated with the affluence of different languages in America and had realized the importance of the Spanish language due to the explosive demographic growth in the United States so I have used the Spanish language as a powerful communication skill in the entirety of my business career. Throughout my business career, I developed strong interpersonal skills which enabled me to communicate clearly and effectively with people of all types of business hierarchies and cultural backgrounds.
I have used my Spanish language skills in tutoring, interpretations, and translations settings.
I enjoy tutoring and helping students to achieve success while having fun learning about the Spanish culture which goes hand and hand with the richness of the language.
I have empathy for students struggling to learn a second language as I recalled the frustrations and pitfalls I, myself, had while learning English as a second language.
I adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the student so the class can be interactive and flexible.
In my free time I enjoyed being involved in community activities, bird watching, and reading.
