I am of Colombian/Ecuadorian descent, but was born and raised in New York City. I currently reside in the Vista area in San Diego. I have over two years tutoring experience, having worked for a tutoring company based in New York. I have worked both in an individual one-on-one setting, as well as a group setting. I enjoy working with students, helping them tackle difficulties they may be experiencing in their academic lives. I am hard working and make the student my number one priority, helping them to overcome challenges and grow on both a personal and academic level.
Although I have a background in Biochemistry, which is the Bachelor's degree I obtained in university, I ventured out last year to the south of France to follow one of my passions, cooking. It was there I was able to not only receive a culinary degree, but also pick up a third language, French. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to travel and experience the world face-to-face. I believe language learning to be a tool that opens doors and enables us to experience other cultures.
