I have a degree in Math and a degree in Secondary Education. I got my degree at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. I start tutoring 5 years ago with various subjects. I tutored in different educational institutions including my own university. I tutor Mandarin, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, SAT math, Statistic, Calculus, Pre-calculus, Pre-Algebra, Middle School Math, Elementary school Math and other math- related classes.

I am a friendly and outgoing person with great patience. I like to swim and I love fishing. I can also do Chinese arts like origami and paper-cut.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that all children have the ability to learn and the right to a quality education. For myself, teaching provides me an opportunity to work with children and contribute to the society. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. One of my goals is to use preventive and supportive behavior strategies more than corrective.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I will introduce myself and ask my students to tell something about themselves to me. We will discuss all the expectations academically.
