I've recently finished my BA and Master's in Classics (Greek and Latin languages and literature) at Oxford University, where I received a Clarendon Scholarship for my Master's. I really love my subject -- including both the systematic study of classical languages and the fascinating cultures into which these languages offer a window. So, as a tutor, I look forward to sharing with my students both my passion and my expertise. In addition, I am an avid reader and rigorously trained writer, and can offer tutoring in English (including the verbal sections of the SATs, the SAT II, and the AP exams), and help to brainstorm and edit college essays.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I think it's important to be patient with students and to offer them both challenges and affirmations in their intellectual pursuits. I also strive to identify and meet students' individual learning needs and, of course, to engage their interest!
