I have been helping young men and women, boys and girls to grow academically, athletically and spiritually, teaching, tutoring and mentoring for the past nine years. Throughout this time, I have learnt to understand the challenges that young students face, their struggles and frustrations. Many times I have discovered that their "problems" can easily be solved and turned into opportunities for growth.
I have taught a wide range of subjects, from art to science, but I have specialized in mathematics. From 2004 to 2008, I attended the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in mathematics, where I obtained my certification to teach high school mathematics in Texas. I continued growing as a professional and obtained a masters in education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I have taught in charter schools, parochial schools and private schools, and have tutored at nationally renowned tutoring companies.
I firmly believe that I have the experience and the warmth to help any student in mathematics at any level and almost any subject at basic and intermediate levels. Feel free to contact me and let me help your child reach his or her academic goals.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that being a teacher is a great responsibility and a unique privilege. The teacher, if good, can change the lives of his or her pupils for the better, helping them grow into responsible, mature adults who can serve others and change the world. As a teacher, I try to not only to teach my students concepts and impart knowledge, but more importantly, I try to live an exemplary life, leading by example. I realize that my students are not only analyzing what I present but also observing every one of my actions. Therefore, I set high expectations for myself, knowing that I have a great influence on my students.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session, I would introduce myself and get to know my students as well as I can, taking into consideration the medium and the age level. I would seek to know, specifically, what their hopes, dreams, and aspirations are, as well as their academic struggles. Finally, I would ask the student what they expect from tutoring, and I'd create a plan of action to help them achieve their goals.
