I graduated from NYU with degrees in History and Drama. Now I am based in Los Angeles, acting professionally and tutoring! Throughout my time in college and since then I have worked with many families and kids of all ages. I love getting to know new students and being creative about the ways I can help them understand new concepts and make connections. Outside of tutoring and acting, I am an avid hiker, swimmer, movie-watcher, and jazz singer. I'm very pleased to be a part of the Varsity Tutors team!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I think the best way to teach is to get to know the student and the ways they make connections. From there it is about being resourceful and creative and helping the student reach their full potential while still having fun!

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session, I might ask them a little about themselves and what they are passionate about. When we get to the work, it will be diagnostic and productive. That way, we can get some work done and I can have some material to help them make connections and internalize what they are learning.
