When we make the student understand the logic and importance of a fact, he will learn it easily and also remember it for long time.

The concept can be taught from a different perspective so that he would understand it better. But skills improve only with practice.

Making them understand the meaning of crucial phrases and words.

Group discussions.

Giving the topic sufficient time, and teaching him how the knowledge can be applied.

Discussing it from more than one angle.
