Although I have a BA in chemistry, I tutor mathematics. Why? Because I recently took classes in algebra (beginning through pre-calculus), trigonometry, and statistics, for review. My excellent results in those classes led to years of work as a math tutor at the local community college where I discovered that I really enjoy helping students succeed in their math classes. My goal is to reduce math anxiety, instill confidence, and generally help students excel in their math studies. I believe that the best tutors do not just provide answers to problems but, rather, give pointers so that the students themselves can navigate the path to the correct conclusion. That is the type of tutor that I strive to be and I welcome you to join me in that process.
