I believe that every student has the the potential to learn and the capacity to flourish; and that it is the role of the tutor to develop a common language of learning and to build a bridge of communication that releases the potential of each student. Creativity is essential for the learning of any discipline and especially for the inspiration that emerges when the human mind stretches beyond its normal limits to embrace an idea or a solution. I very much enjoy engaging with the students in the process of learning new things in different and creative ways. During a tutoring session, I observe how the student is processing information and how he/she engages with the material. I then adjust my tutoring to accommodate his/her needs, advance understanding, and encourage his/her individual interests. I also think it is essential to have fun! In this way, the student can develop confidence and discover a sense of joy in the learning process.
