After graduating with a B.A. in both English and Political Science, I went on to law school and then practiced for five years before deciding to create a new path for myself. I love to watch individuals learn and grow. Through my experience as a tutor as an undergraduate, it was always such a reward to see anyone I mentored succeed. It is my personal belief that each individual learns in their own way and that the best thing I can do as a tutor is to listen to each a student and create the best learning environment I can. If that means we have to be serious all the time, we will be serious. If that means things need to be lighter and more fun, I will seek to make the learning experience enjoyable in, hopefully, unique ways. As always, it is important to listen to an individuals needs and make sure that as a tutor I do everything I can to meet them. I will happily tailor my skills to you, or your child's, learning style and look forward to doing all I can to make you, or him/her, successful.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn and grow. Each person goes at their own pace, and no two people learn exactly the same. It's important to keep that in mind as a tutor when meeting and beginning the tutoring process.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will take the time to get to know them personally and ask what they feel is their best learning tool. I will spend time developing a strategy to approach any issues they are having and make sure they are comfortable with how we move forward.
