I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 with a BBA in Finance. I quickly realized my future was in education and not finance, so after graduation I enrolled in a Teacher Certification program in Austin, Texas and continued as lead instructor at a local tutoring center. Before I could get in the classroom I relocated to Los Angeles with my girlfriend and am now actively looking to begin my career in education here in California.
My student philosophy when instructing focus' around making the material as accessible to the student as possible. This starts with making the sessions fun and interactive and keeping a high level of interest through out the session while using examples and situations relevant to the students age, maturity, interests and experiences. Every student learns differently and the key to being a successful tutor is identifying those differences and leveraging them to help your child learn. I have over 1,000 hours of experience working with students from grades 1-12 and am eager to put that experience to work helping your child reach the level of achievement that they were meant to reach.
