I am currently a Aerospace engineering student at CU Boulder. I have worked with other students in order to help them with math and other subjects. I enjoy teaching math and helping others learn to find answers to their problems. I tutor a variety of levels in math and I'm eager to get started.
My philosophy for tutoring is not just giving students answers but guiding students to learn the answer themselves. It is important to show students how subjects they are learning about are applicable in later life. I encourage my students by noticing the progress they are making and I give positive encouragement for small steps of progress.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that being able to teach requires more than just the understanding of the subject. Teaching requires a desire to instill your student with interest or relevance in the subject. I believe this because the best learning does not come instinctively, but comes through hard work and perseverance to better oneself. When I teach, I teach not only to help a student understand the subject, but to learn how to understand better, so that their hard work shows its significance.
