I am a graduate of Emporia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Math Education, and University of Phoenix with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. I am originally from Denver, but have lived in Kansas for 12 years, and will spend this summer in Washington, DC.

Throughout my life I have enjoyed helping people, so education is a natural fit for me. After earning my bachelor's degree I began teaching in the Lawrence Public School district, in Lawrence, Kansas. During this time I taught Algebra I (6 years), Geometry (6 years), Precalculus (4 years), and Calculus AB (1 year). Now I teach at Olathe Public Schools in Olathe, Kansas, teaching Engineering Design and Robotics. Every class I have taught was very diverse, in regards to both ages and ability levels. This helped me learn how to adapt the speed and style of teaching to fit the individual. My 7 years in education has shown me that students of all ability levels love when they finally "get it" - nothing makes me more excited than seeing the look of pride on their face when this happens!

In my free time I love watching and playing soccer - I have been a Sporting KC season ticket holder for several years. Being a teacher has also given me the chance to coach, which I love! Aside from soccer I enjoy reading, running, and spending time with my wife and dog!
