I am a fourth year UCLA Chemistry major and environmental engineering minor. In addition to focusing on my studies, I work in two labs, am a two-time powerlifting state champion, and am aspiring to be a fitness model! I am very knowledgeable about geometry, algebra, single variable calculus, high school and college chemistry, mechanics and electricity and magnetism, and anything test prep related. I have multiple years of experience tutoring students of all ages in all the subjects I mentioned and have since developed a passion for helping students understand the material that will help them score the most points. In my first attempt on the SAT as a junior in high school, I scored a 2320 cumulative. In addition, I am a national AP scholar and competed in the math and chemistry olympiads in high school.

Ask the student to take a diagnostic test then go over the student's general weaknesses and strengths.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Assign homework and additional self study, which I will test in the next session.
