In 2009 I received an Advanced Studies Diploma from Fairfax High School with a Virginia Governer's Seal for Academic Excellence, Virginia Board of Education Seal for Career and Technical Education, and a National Honor Society Seal. In high school I tutored students in Algebra I and Geometry.
I attended George Mason University for my freshman year of undergraduate studies, where I was enrolled in the Honors College. I transferred to the University of Virginia for my sophomore year of college and received my Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Psychology in 2013.
The summer following graduation, I studied for the MCAT full time and scored a 35 (96th percentile nationally).
After taking the MCAT I continued my education at NVCC, volunteered at the National Institute of Health, and shadowed various physicians. I also tutored multiple students in subjects ranging from IB Physics, 3rd grade English, Biology, and Organic Chemistry.
In May of 2015, I received a Master's of Science in Advanced Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School with the highest honors and a 3.98 GPA. I was selected as a Spotlight Student and featured on the school's website.
In August of 2015 I will begin my first year of medical school as part of the MD Class of 2019 at EVMS.
I am an enthusiastic, passionate, and patient teacher. I excel at breaking down complex concepts into simpler terms for optimal comprehension. I am very friendly, outgoing, and flexible. If you are interested in improving your academic performance, please don't hesitate to contact me.
