I have been involved with education in one form or another since I was 3. I truly believe in lifelong learning and hope to instill that passion in everyone that I come in contact with. My degrees include a BS in Mathematics from Colorado State University, a MA in Buddhist Studies from Naropa University, and a MS in Mathematics from Texas A&M. I also completed the coursework for a masters in philosophy but did not complete that degree. I hold a highly qualified teacher license in Colorado for high school math and taught in the high school setting for 10 years.
Besides the academic studies I have completed, I also have studied the healing arts and meditation. I am a Reiki Master/Teacher, a certified meditation instructor through Shambhala International, and completed a four year training program in QiGong and QiGong healing. Currently, I teach mathematics online for the community colleges of Colorado, instruct meditation through Naropa University, teach QiGong and practice medical QiGong, and design and instruct courses for educators through Dominican University.
One passion that I have continued throughout all my studies and professions is individual tutoring. I started tutoring in high school and besides a break while teaching high school, have been tutoring ever since.
