I graduated from North Park University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. I have worked for the past 8 years teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. People often wonder about the connection between my major and my career, and I like to quote Galileo who said, "Mathematics is the language God used to write the universe." While I do find math exciting and extremely valuable, I became a teacher not because of my love of math, but out of a passion to help young people. I believe people learn best from those they like and trust. As a tutor, my goal will be the same: to connect with the student in order to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to be successful in the 21st century. When I'm not working with students I enjoy watching (and playing) football, baseball, and basketball. I also like playing the guitar, spending time with my 2 dogs, and watching TV.
