I am a fourth-year student at the University of Chicago, majoring in the Biological Sciences and specializing in Neuroscience. I attended the International School of Boston, a French-American school, where I graduated with a Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma. In high school, I tutored students of all ages and in various different subjects. During those four years, I recognized that every student processes and remembers the material in a different way and at their own pace. Thus, I was able to adapt my teaching style to fit many different students’ learning needs.
My philosophy is to first help students understand the underlying concepts, and then tackle the details with higher-order problem-solving skills. I have experienced that the key to academic progress is not related to the quantity of practice, but rather the quality of that practice. As a tutor, I will quickly recognize how each student learns, and tailor each session to their individual needs. I am patient and flexible, and am motivated to help each student achieve his/her goals.
