My primary goal as a tutor is to help students achieve success in their studies by helping them build a solid understanding of the material that they can carry forward in their academic and professional careers. The coursework I completed while obtaining my B.S. in Biology and the rigorous study plan I completed while preparing for the MCAT have prepared me to not only explain difficult concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand but also to convey successful strategies to study more efficiently and approach the material with the correct mindset. During my undergraduate studies I assisted fellow students in subjects such as Genetics, Physiology, and Chemistry, and I was able to help them better understand difficult concepts by approaching the topics from multiple angles that were tailored to the students preferred learning strategies. It is my goal to help each student I tutor master the material by tailoring the session to accommodate the the student's preferred learning style while focusing on their weaknesses and reinforcing their strengths.
