I served nine years active duty service in the United States Navy. Five years aboard nuclear fast attack submarines as a Nuclear Machinist Mate and three years as a Nuclear Field A-School instructor. During my time as an instructor I had the privilege to instruct a total of 330 students and I realized very quickly that I get great joy and satisfaction from sharing my passion for learning with others. My father used to tell me that “Education is the key to success” and I truly believe that today. As your tutor I focus on building a foundation of understanding, logic and critical thinking that can be applied to all academic and employment disciplines.
I am currently enrolled in college courses pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I am focused on learning as much as possible and applying what I learn to real world applications. I focus on tutoring the subjects that I am most passionate about including; Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Physics. I also have experience teaching in heat transfer, fluid flow, thermodynamics, air conditioning, high pressure air compressors and mechanical system design. When I’m not learning or teaching professionally I enjoy snow skiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, golf, and rocketry. Just to name a few.
As your tutor I customize your curriculum for you and help you to develop not only academically but professionally and as an individual. In my experience as a nuclear propulsion plant operator and instructor I have found a passion for learning that is contagious, let me share that passion with you!
