My time in education is long and storied. I've worked in the field as a tour guide, science-summer camp counselor, immersion English teacher (in South Korea), reading specialist, special education paraprofessional, special ed. soccer coach, Tae Kwon Do instructor, and as an undergraduate TA for study skills, anthropology, and political science. After spending over 8 years in the field, I'm sure that Education is something in which I truly believe.
I make an excellent tutor across all ages because of my ability to adapt my teaching to the student's skill level. I use scaffolding techniques and other evidence-based practices that have been demonstrated both anecdotally and statistically to bring about effective change in a student. Besides my tutoring technique, I am a warm, kind person who works to earn the respect of my students, and then pushes them beyond their limits to truly become the best they can be.
