I am currently a student at Fordham University in New York City, NY. I am entering into my junior year as a Psychology Major with a French Minor. During my sophomore year, I was a tutor for sixth graders at a local public school in the Bronx. I tutored children in Math, Social Studies, and English as a Second Language. One of the classes I tutored was a special education class, so I feel comfortable working with children on a variety of different learning levels. I also volunteered as a tutor for a program where I worked with SAT tutoring and college counseling service for underprivileged youth. While I tutor in a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about ACT/SAT Prep, French, Math, and Literature. I enjoy working with high school students who are in the midst of their college application process, as I just completed the process myself not too long ago. I have experience tutoring middle and elementary schoolers and I enjoy working with them as my focus is in child development. I appreciate the gift of education and while I understand it is essential for an improved quality of life, I realize that not all students process information in the same way, and I will do my best to create lessons tailored to the students' needs.
